  • The idea of the subject is mainly based on the reform of digital public fiscal transformation in China.
  • I am responsible for writing the paper which uses the empirical tool of Staggered DID to identify the reform of digital public fiscal transformation effect on government budget management.
  • Our project also includes social research on the Chinese government by having interviews with government officials to find the real-life dilemma in the course of reform.

This project focuses on how individual income tax supports flexible employment in gig economy and we build models to optimize the Income Tax System.

  • I undertook the task of cleaning CFPS data with Stata and drew relevant data graphs of basic situations like income distribution and working hours per week to identify and summarize the characteristics of flexible employment and formal employment groups
  • I also collated literature on Income Shifting and learned the basic optimal tax theory.

Short course: Stata Training Camp

Teaching, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, 2024

This course is designed to lay the foundation for students new to STATA, helping them acquire basic data processing and statistical analysis skills to establish a solid groundwork for subsequent economic research. These lecture notes are designed for intermediate-level courses in public economics, based on the curriculum taught for year-3 undergraduates (Instructor: Prof. Xiumei Yu). I personally took this course in the Fall of 2024, and I have also referred to the slides used for this course from 2023 to 2025.
