Literature critism: Appreciation of English Short Stories

In 25 fall, I took an elective course on Appreciation of English Short Stories, which focused on the close reading of seven short stories by various authors such as Hemingway, Faulkner, Mansfield, and others. Each story will be studied over a two-week period, with a structured schedule consisting of one class for background introduction, two classes for close reading, and one class dedicated to group discussion.

As a mid-term assignment, we need to write a literary critique containing an analysis of the story’s elements. I chose the short story The use of Force. Here is my review for it.
