I have noticed the development of the gig economy, and it is likely that these workers may need assistance from social insurance and tax policies to achieve maximum social welfare. Additionally, some of these practitioners in gig economy may choose to operate as self-employed, which might also be related to the value-added tax (VAT) that I am currently ongoing-research.
